SARNIA, ONTARIO, CANADA — Family and friends are mourning the passing of Kristina Janine Hamilton, who died peacefully at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 41.

Born in 1985, Kristina will be remembered by those closest to her as a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and loving sister. Her passing has brought profound sadness to her family, who will continue to carry her memory forward through the love and memories they shared with her.

Kristina was the beloved wife of Andrew Wellington. She was also a loving mother to Lily Hamilton, who is married to Richard LaFleur, as well as Emily Wellington and Melanie Wellington. Her children were an important part of her life, and her memory will remain deeply cherished by them and the entire family.

She was the daughter of Krista Hamilton and the late Bruce Hamilton. Kristina was also a sister to Jim Hamilton and his wife, Patricia; Carrie Lauzon and her husband, Gilbert; and Kyle Hamilton. Through these family relationships, she leaves behind a wide circle of people who loved her and whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Kristina’s peaceful passing at Bluewater Health marks the end of her life journey, but the memories she created with her family and loved ones will continue to live on. In the days and weeks ahead, those who knew her will have the opportunity to reflect on the moments they shared and the place she held within their family.

Her family has announced that cremation has taken place. Rather than focusing solely on mourning, the family has also provided an opportunity for those wishing to honor Kristina’s memory through charitable giving.

Memorial donations may be made to Totes for Hope through Bluewater Health Services or to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre. These organizations offer meaningful ways for family members, friends, and community members to remember Kristina while supporting causes that matter.

The loss of a loved one leaves an absence that cannot easily be filled. For Andrew, her children, her mother, siblings, extended family, and friends, Kristina’s memory will remain a lasting part of their lives.

As the family grieves, they can take comfort in the years of memories shared with Kristina and the love that continues beyond her passing. Her life was connected to many others through family, friendship, and community, and those connections will ensure that she is not forgotten.

May Kristina Janine Hamilton rest peacefully. May her husband, children, mother, siblings, extended family, and friends find strength and comfort in the memories they shared and the love she leaves behind.
