The Pulse Nightclub shooting remains one of the most devastating tragedies in Orlando’s history. Plans for a permanent Pulse memorial have also continued. The project is intended to create a lasting place where families, survivors and visitors can remember those who were lost and reflect on the resilience that emerged from the tragedy.
The Pulse Nightclub shooting left wounds that cannot be measured only by the number of lives lost. It changed families forever, affected survivors physically and emotionally, and became a defining moment for Orlando and LGBTQ+ communities across the United States.
Yet remembrance has also carried a message of love. The victims continue to be honored through their names, photographs, stories and the memories preserved by those who knew them.
