The Wanatah, Indiana, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Todd Arnold “Rosie” Rosenbaum and Patricia Jean “Tricia” Rosenbaum, a beloved couple who passed away side by side on the evening of Thursday, August 27, 2026. Both 60, Todd and Tricia had spent decades building a life centered on family, farming, faith, and their deep connection to the Wanatah community.
Their family described their passing as a transition from their “Heaven on Earth” to their eternal home in Heaven. The words reflect the extraordinary bond the couple shared throughout their marriage and the life they created together.
Todd was born June 25, 1966, in LaPorte, Indiana. A lifelong farmer and fourth-generation agriculturalist, he devoted himself to his family’s farming tradition. He owned Circle R Farm and Hoosier Quality Meats with Tricia and proudly referred to himself as an “Agricultural Engineer.” His passion for agriculture extended to raising Rosenbaum show cattle and show pigs.
Beyond farming, Todd enjoyed Purdue basketball, his grandchildren, and time with his beloved dog, Diesel. His loyalty to John Deere equipment was another familiar part of his personality, reflecting the pride he took in his work and rural way of life.
Tricia was born February 7, 1966, in Michigan City, Indiana. She built a career in real estate and insurance after earning her real estate license through McColly School of Real Estate, working in the field for approximately three decades. After retiring, she joined Todd full-time in farming and particularly enjoyed caring for their cattle and working in the fields.
Faith was an important part of Tricia’s life. She enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time beside the couple’s pond, traveling with Todd to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and making memories with her grandchildren. She also served her community through the Wanatah American Legion Post 403 and as a Cass Township Board member.
Todd and Tricia married on September 3, 1994, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wanatah. More than three decades of marriage followed, filled with family experiences, shared work, humor, faith, and countless memories. Even their CB radio handles, “Aqua” and “Cow Pie Patty,” reflected the playful personality they shared.
Their greatest joy was their family. They leave behind children Alexandria Bucher, Jillian Rosenbaum, and Jonathan (Lauren) Rosenbaum, along with five grandchildren—Laken Blasko, Bane Bucher, Adilynn and Ireland Garrison, and Vaeda Rosenbaum—who lovingly knew them as “Nana” and “Papa.”

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wanatah American Legion Post 403. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 4, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with additional visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wanatah Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
Todd and Tricia leave behind a legacy of devotion to one another, their children and grandchildren, their farm, their faith, and their community. Though their absence leaves an immeasurable void, the life they built together will continue through the family and friends who loved them.
